Experienced Team Behind Erin Gilmore Photography To Be The Official Photographer of 2021 MARSGMI

Volunteer At All Three Great Meadow Events and Receive Extra Prizes!

TTHE PLAINS, Virginia – August 2021Erin Gilmore Photography joins MARS Great Meadow International (MARSGMI) as the official show photographer for this year’s event. MARSGMI takes place in The Plains, Virginia on August 19-22, 2021 and offers CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S and preliminary divisions.

With career highlights that range from covering multiple Olympic Games to working with international equestrian brands and clients, Erin Gilmore’s work has been seen and published around the world.

As a lifelong horse owner herself, Erin understands the unique connection between horses and their riders and works to capture it in standout images that speak directly to every person she photographs.

“There’s nothing I enjoy more than putting myself in the boots of the riders I photograph; as a rider myself, I can relate to the time and hard work it takes just to enter a competition ring, and I try to do every rider justice by working to capture them at their best,” says Erin.

Erin Gilmore Photography covers equestrian events in the Northern Virginia area and beyond and most recently photographed the 2021 Land Rover KY Three Day Event in Lexington, KY. Erin works closely with a dedicated team of photographers who are as passionate about their work as they are about equestrian sport. The MARSGMI Organizing Committee is excited to welcome her team to the venue.

“There are few places as picturesque as Great Meadow,” said Darrin Mollett of Five Rings Eventing, the organizer of MARSGMI, “No doubt, Erin and her team will do an amazing job of showcasing the event, the horses, and the property.”

Erin’s photos will be available in galleries on her website for riders and fans to view and purchase. A select group of photos will also be published each day of the event so keep a look out on GMI’s website and socials.

Last year, MARSGMI successfully implemented the “Great Meadow Model” to run a safe event during the pandemic. This year will be no different as MARSGMI will return to the same model to allow spectators to enjoy the competition in a safe environment.

Returning for 2021, MARSGMI will offer general admission weekend passes as well as fabulous tailgate options for spectators. Limited vendors, a wine vendor, and food trucks have been invited to enhance the spectator experience. Catering is also offered through Market Salamander.

“Great Meadow is truly a special place in the heart of Northern Virginia horse country,” said O’Connor. “We are especially excited to broaden the reach of this event to be more inclusive of our community members, businesses, and organizations who share our love of open space, animal well-being, and the Piedmont.”

MARSGMI will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and maintain communication with the Great Meadow Foundation, state and local health officials and the USEF and FEI.
