These are the riders selected by the USEF Selectors for the Olympic Team and Nations Cup as well as the Canadian and UK riders that will be participating in the Nations Cup. 


Selected List of 2016 Competitors


                       Maya Black (USA)



Maya is an A Pony Clubber from Washington state, who produced Doesn’t Play Fair herself. Maya has won the CCI2* at Jersey Fresh in 2008 on Konyagi, and moved up to Advanced with Doesn’t Play Fair in 2014, and won the CIC3* at Plantation Field. Most recently, the pair won the CIC3* at The Fork, and came in 3rd at the Rolex CCI4* this spring.



                       Phillip Dutton (USA)



Originally from Australia, Phillip has been chosen for his sixth Olympic Team, and has been the USEA Leading Rider 8 times and the winner of the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day CCI4* in 2008. Most recently, Phillip rode Mighty Nice to 4th, Fernhill Cubalawn to 5th, and Fernhill Fugitive to 13th in the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day CCI4* this spring.



                     Sinead Halpin (USA)




Following a successful Young Riders career, which included her first CCI3*, she has been competing Manoir de Carneville since 2008. They won the Richland CIC2* and completed the Boekelo CCI3* in 2010, and moved up to CCI4* in 2011 to come in 3rd at Rolex, and 15th at Burghley. In 2012 they finished 2nd at Burghley, and in 2014 they were 4th at Rolex CCI4* and rode at the WEG. Most recently, they were 10th at Rolex this spring.



                          Lauren Keiffer (USA)




Lauren and Veronica won the Ocala CCI2*, Jersey Fresh CIC2*, and Chattahoochee CIC3* in 2013, Rolex CCI4* in 2014, and Team Bronze in the 2015 Nation’s Cup in Germany. She and Meadowbrook’s Scarlett won the Bromont CCI2* and Jersey Fresh CIC2* in 2014, and Team Gold at the 2015 PanAm.



                              Boyd Martin (USA)




Although born in Australia, Boyd relocated to the U.S. in 2007 and in 2010, Martin and Neville Bardos were on Team USA at the WEG, and were the highest-placing Americans and again at the 2014 WEG.  In 2015 he rode Pancho Villa to 2nd place at Fair Hill CIC3* and 3rd at Jersey Fresh CCI3*. He finished 2nd in the Jersey Fresh CIC3* on Welcome Shadow, and 6th on Blackfoot Mystery at the Rolex CCI4* this spring.



                         Clark Montgomery (USA)



Since 2001, he has frequently been on the USEF Eventing High Performance Training List and has scored numerous top placings in the U.S. and abroad, as well as representing Team USA at the Aachen CICO3* and Boekelo CCIO3*. He and Loughen Glen won the CCI3* at Bromont in 2011, and won the CCI3* at Blenheim, the CIC3* at Belton, and was 6th at the CCI4* at Luhmühlen in 2015. Most recently, the pair came in 2nd at the Bramham CIC3* this June.



                         Lynn Symansky (USA) 



Lynn was first Short Listed for Team USA in 2003, with No It Tissant, and ran her first CCI4* at the 2008 Rolex. Now riding Donner, an OTTB, she rode for the USA at the 2011 Pan-Ams to Team Gold, and in 2013 won the CIC3* at The Fork and ran clean and fast at Rolex for a USEF Reserve Champion title, then went to the 2014 WEG. The pair placed second at last year’s GMI CIC3* then completed Burghley CCI4*, and Rolex CCI4* this spring.



                           Elisa Wallace (USA)



From Jasper, GA, Elisa has become an advocate for Mustangs, and their ability to become eventers. She rode Simply Priceless at Blenheim last year, and finished her first CCI4* last year at the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day. The pair finished 8th at Rolex 4* this spring.



                              Jodie Amos (GBR) 



 Jodie started in France, but is now based out of Banbury, England, and made her CIC3* debut in 2010 coming in 2nd at Houghton Hall. Wise Crack’s first 3* was in 2013, and the pair came in 3rd at Blenheim in 2014, 5th at Chatsworth in 2015, and completed Hopetoun CIC3* this year. She was part of the Winning Nations Cup Team in Poland, Strzegom 2016.



                                 Rosalind Canter (GBR)


In 2013 Ros and Zenshera ran their first CIC3* at Barbury Castle and also completed Blenheim CIC3*, and Boekelo CCIO3*. They rode for Great Britain’s winning team in the 2014 Nation’s Cup, and this spring they ran the CIC3* at Belton, followed by a 4th place finish in the CIC3* at Hopetoun. Recently she was 5th in the new  Event Rider Master series at Bramham  and part of winning team in nations cup at Strzegom.



                                  Justine Dutton (GBR)



This is Justine's first time on a British Team. Her most recent success was a 9th place finish at CCI** on Jak My Style . She has had 3 CCI*** completions on Jollybo and Huck Finn and multiple CIC*** finishes .including Red Hills CIC3*, Carolina International CIC3*, and Jersey Fresh CCI3* this year.




                                  Ben Way (GBR)



Ben completed his first CIC3* at Belton in 2014, first CCI4* at Badminton in 2015 on Galley Light, and finished 12th this year. This year he moved Willows Tipster up to CCI3* at Bramham. where he finished 16th. In 2015 he was on a 7yo squad at Leion D'angers.




                                  Colleen Loach (CAN) 


Named the Quebec Eventing Athlete of the Year in 1999, she won the CCI2* in Bromont in 2007, the CIC2* at Dreamcrest in 2013, and won the CIC2* at The Fork in 2014. She and Qorry Blue d’Argouges just finished 2nd at the Bromont CCI3*.



                                    Selena O’Hanlon (CAN)



From Kingston, Ontario, Selena grew up around horses, and began competing at an early age. More recently, she rode on the Canadian team in the Beijing Olympics on Colombo, who she also rode in the WEG in Kentucky in 2010. She and Foxwood High have represented Canada at the Pan-Am games in Mexico in 2011 and the WEG in France in 2014. Most recently, the pair finished 7th at the Bromont CIC3*.


                                    Jessica Phoenix (CAN)



Canada’s 2014 Leading Lady Rider is from Toronto, and has ridden for Canada in the London Olympics, on Exponential, and the WEG in France, on Pavarotti. She won the 2011 CIC2* Pan-Ams, and 2nd in the 2015 Pan-Ams. She recently finished 6th on A Little Romance, and 3rd on Bentley’s Best at the Jersey Fresh CCI3*.



                                  Waylon Roberts (CAN)



Son of Olympic Equestrians, Waylon grew up eventing, and became a major competitor in the Young Riders divisions. He rode in both the 2007 Pan-Ams, on Paleface, and the 2015 Pan-Ams on Billy Owen. Last year, he won the Bromont CIC2* on Billy Owen, and rode Kelecyn Cognac to 3rd in the CCI3* in 2015, and 9th this year.
